CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun was put on the 15-day disabled list Saturday because of a strained oblique in his right side, the latest setback for a banged-up team thats recently struggled to score. Braun had missed the last six games with the injury. Since the outfielder hadnt played, the move was made retroactive to April 27 and he will be eligible to return on May 12. Braun also had been sidelined a few games this season by a sore right thumb. Overall, the former NL MVP is batting .318 with six homers and 18 RBIs. Milwaukee activated outfielder Logan Schafer off the disabled list before a game against the Cincinnati Reds. Hed been sidelined by a strained right hamstring. If we werent headed in the right direction, we would have made the move immediately. But its definitely gotten better. The oblique is one of those trick injuries."
