Gunmen and suicide bombers launched a pre-dawn attack claimed by the Islamic State group (IS) on a military compound in Kabul Monday Aaron Donald Jersey , killing 11 soldiers in the third major assault in the Afghan capital in recent days.

Officials said the men, armed with a rocket, two Kalashnikovs and at least one suicide vest, had attempted to breach an army battalion near the Marshal Fahim military academy, where high-ranking officers are trained.

The gunmen did not enter the heavily fortified compound on the western outskirts of the city, an Afghan security source said. Security forces have swarmed into the area and blocked roads leading to it.

BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Two men and two women have spent 200 days in a simulated space lab in Beijing, setting a record for the longest stay in a self-contained "cabin."


The biomedicine students from Beihang University, the second group of volunteers to stay in Yuegong-1 (Lunar Palace 1) Authentic Rams Hoodie , completed the second phase of a 365-day on-ground experiment Friday.

She missed many chances to find a job because of the 200-day isolation and has decided to continue studying for a doctorate.
