ST. MORITZ, Switzerland - Skiing with less pressure after setting the all-time record for World Cup wins, Lindsey Vonn placed fifth in a downhill training run on Friday. That was just fine for the American who will start as favourite on Saturday after winning three of five races in the glamor Alpine event this season.I definitely feel like theres no pressure, Vonn said after a practice run won by Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein. Everyone was just talking about the record, talking about the record. The 62-win mark set in 1980 by Austrian great Annemarie Moser-Proell was tied and passed in quick order as Vonn won a downhill last Sunday and a super-G on Monday at Cortina dAmpezzo, Italy. Both of Vonns specialist speed events are scheduled this weekend at St. Moritz in the last World Cup races before her hometown world championships open on Feb. 2 at Vail-Beaver Creek, Colorado. Now I feel really relaxed, she said. (On Saturday) I have a few mistakes that I can fix and definitely will ski more aggressively, so hopefully that will be enough.Even those mistakes left Vonn, who was fastest in practice on Thursday, just 0.79 seconds behind Weirather on the new Engiadina course most racers are seeing for the first time.Anna Fenninger, the defending overall World Cup champion, was second, trailing by 0.11. Another Austrian, Elisabeth Goergl, was third, 0.44 behind Weirather.Larisa Yurkiw of Owen Sound, Ont., was tied for 26th.The womens track has been designed with the 2017 worlds in mind. Its important this weekend to get a feeling for the course going forward to the 2017 world championships. So far its going well, said Vonn, who won downhill and super-G races on the old, adjoining course. Its a little bit easier, she said of the new track tracing down a bare mountain above the tree line. It has more terrain in it but its also not quite as steep in some sections. You can definitely make some dynamic turns, you have to be a good glider.Either way I like it, its fun, said Vonn, who was smiling plenty.Race organizers had problems hours after racers left the venue Friday when four course workers triggered a small avalanche near the start.None of the volunteers were injured though one was taken to a hospital for further examination, said Martin Berthod of the organizing committee.A planned ceremony Saturday morning to inaugurate the new womens start was cancelled.

The mood in Seattle was electrified as the parade featuring the NFL champions began near the Space Needle and made its way to CenturyLink Field, the home of the team. Nick Vannett Jersey . Forsman closed with a 3-under 69 in windy conditions Sunday for his third Champions Tour title. He beat Jay Don Blake by two shots. The New Jersey Devils added a veteran scoring winger who has trouble staying healthy, but is coming off a terrific season. Numbers Game looks at the Devils signing Mike Cammalleri. The Devils Get: LW Mike Cammalleri. Cammalleri, 32, has been a productive goal-scorer, topping 20 goals six times in his career, but hes also had a hard time staying healthy, missing at least 15 games in four of the past five seasons. However, if a team understands that injuries are likely to be part of the package, they can also understand that a healthy Cammalleri has not only has he been able to score, but last season he was really effective as an all-around player, putting up strong relative possession numbers despite facing high-quality opposition and starting more of his shifts in the defensive zone. Those relative possession stats were dramatically better than previous seasons, so that doesnt necessarily mean thats his standard level, but its some evidence that Cammalleri is more than just a triggerman. Hes joining a Devils team that already puts up strong possession numbers, but has been unable to finish enough. For whatever it might be worth, Cammalleri is also 7-for-20 (35.0%) in shootouts over the past five years, and while thats a little above average, its miles ahead of what the Devils mustered as a team last year, when they were 4-for-51 (7.8%) in losing all 13 shootout decisions. While Cammalleri plays frequently on tthe wing, hes also played centre -- took the second-most draws on the Flames in 2012-2013 -- and that could be useful for the Devils, who are going to have to mix and match some pieces up front, but have enough to put together three pretty solid lines.dddddddddddd Adding a goal-scorer certainly addresses the Devils needs. They ranked 27th in the league with 2.40 goals per game last season, so adding a proven finisher is worthwhile. The trouble, as it often seems to be with the Devils, is that the term is steep for a 32-year-old. Maybe five years and $25-million is the going rate for what Cammalleri provides, but its hard to envision the Devils getting a positive return on investment when Cammalleri is 35 and 36-years-old. Sure, New Jersey has been getting great production from Jaromir Jagr and Patrik Elias, who are well beyond that age but, among 32 forwards who were at least 35-years-old last season, five managed to score more than 20 goals. The Flames will miss Cammalleri. They added Mason Raymond as a free agent, and Raymonds speed is an asset, but hes not the same kind of offensive threat that Cammalleri is, so its hard to expect that the Flames will thrive offensively without their third-leading scorer from last season.
